What is etched glassware?
Etched glassware is a 100% permanent process. Unlike laser engraving which is a computer generated process, etching is a manual process utilising sand blasting to give you a soft satin finish. Please refer to our Etching V’s Engraving section on the website for further clarification on the variance.
Here at Groovy Glass we can provide a few alternatives. Fully etched (frosted look) Clear Etched (Clear glass with etched wording) The latter also allows us to produce coloured lettering which is an extension of the sandblasting by adding an acrylic paint to create a different effect . These processes are time consuming and each glass is done individually, making it labour intensive, but the results speak for themselves.
How is the glassware printed?
We use pad printing which provides a very effective finish and is also very durable. We do not recommend constant dishwasher use for this range. Our printed range includes champagne flutes, beer, wine and our very popular shot glasses.
Can I obtain a sample of your Printed/Etched Personalised Bomboniere items?
You can obtain a sample of some of our personalised bomboniere items including printed/etched tea-lights and glassware. They will however be excess stock we already have made up, not your names and design.

Do I receive a proof of the artwork for my glassware before my order is made?
Yes, for all personalised glassware orders you will (not boxes, bags, ribbons). Once you have made your payment, you will receive a proof of artwork which you need to authorize before we go ahead and make your order. This way you get to check off the spelling and layout of your order.
What happens if I change my mind after placing my order?
We are more than happy to organise changes for you if you have changed your mind, as long as your order has not gone to production.
When is a good time to order my wedding party gifts?
Four weeks prior to you wedding is a good time, but you can order your bridal party gifts as early as you like. As long as your date has been confirmed, you have chosen your wedding party members and they have accepted, you are fine to go ahead and place your order. Last minute orders can also be filled most of the time for bridal party gifts however its best not to leave things to the last minute but we are here to help.
When is a good time to order my wedding favours/bomboniere?
4 weeks prior to your wedding or soon as you have confirmed guest numbers is a good time to order as some of these items may not be in stock all of the time. If you are running a little late, please contact us anyway as we can fill last minute orders most of the time.
Can you print the individual names or titles of my guests/wedding party on my Printed Tealights or Glassware to use as Bomboniere?
Unfortunately, due to the process that we use to print our items, we are unable to do this. We use one template for our printed items which only allows us to print one design on to the items. You could also handwrite your guest names in a matching glass paint pen, which can be found at your local craft shop or use a label maker with clear tape and apply that to each tea-light holder.
What if you don't have the graphic that I'm after?
Please do not hesitate to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your concerns as we do have more graphics and fonts on file. If there is a specific graphic that you have we please forward your artwork in a black and white format in a jpeg preferably in a high resolution to email@example.com and we can let you know if we can use it. Please note that there may be an additional artwork charge, but we will always discuss this with you before we go ahead with your order.
Do I have to get my Wedding Party Glasses gift packaged?
You do not have to have your Wedding Party glasses gift packaged any more. Simply choose no in the drop down menu titled Would you like Gift Packaging? If you would like to have your glasses gift packaged, please choose your colour of preference from this drop down menu. The Cart will automatically charge the additional amount per glass to your order. Please note the prices in the drop down menu are GST Exclusive, however the GST is added on once placed in the Cart.
Can I find out a quote of my order without placing payment?
On our website, you are able to create a dummy order without having to login/register or pay for anything at the end. Simply choose an item and fill out the quantity and click the 'Add to Cart' button. On the right hand side and at the top of the screen you will see the total amount of the products in your cart. Once you have worked out your total price for your order, you are able to send your items to the rubbish. If you are having any troubles putting items into your cart, or finding a certain price please do not hesitate to email or call us.
How long will my order take?
Once your order is received and paid for it goes into our production scheduled and filtered by your requested due date and wedding date. Please also consider freight times with regards to delivery. We pride ourselves on our deliverables and always ensure goods are received well in time for you wedding. If you do have a short lead time please contact us and we will confirm delivery turnaround.
How will I know when to expect delivery?
You will receive an email from us on the day your order is despatched, so you know approximately when to expect delivery.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do ship internationally, but as these prices can vary dramatically we must quote each order individually. Please place your order online and choose your country of residence, the cart will calculate your Shipping Cost at $0.00. We will then quote a shipping cost once we have received your order and notify you via Email of this additional price as soon as possible. If you are happy with the quote we will move to the next stage of the order process and if not you may cancel your order at this time. What happens if an item is broken in transit?
Breakages are EXTREMELY rare, but if something is broken, we replace it immediately as a high priority. Simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if there is a breakage and we will send you a replacement asap. We may request photo's of the broken glass and packaing this is for insurance purposes.
Can I collect my order instead of freight?
If you reside in Victoria you most certainly can collect from our warehouse. In the check out stage just select warehouse collection. Even if you are ordering from interstate and have relatives in Victoria and they are happy to collect your goods you can utilise this service too.
